Our Dance Contest is designed to bring out the hidden talents within our youth. This highly anticipated event has been eagerly awaited by people of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest, for the past 10 years. Every year, we strive to make this event better and more exciting. Despite the challenges, we continue to host this event with a focus on giving a platform for talent, not for profit. This is an event for everyone to enjoy, showcase their skills, and make their mark in the world of dance.

Many Tamil children are increasingly passionate about Bharatanatyam, even more so than Western dance forms. To give them the opportunity to express their talents in unique ways, we have introduced the Baratham Fusion program. This innovative concept encourages dancers to merge traditional Bharatanatyam with modern dance styles, creating a dynamic fusion.

Candidate Registation For BYH 2026 - Dance Contest

Who can participate?

  • This category is open to everyone aged 10 and above.
  • Dance Styles: Here, you can explore a wide range of styles.

We welcome:

  • Traditional dances from other countries
  • Contemporary or Modern dance
  • Hip-Hop
  • Jazz
  • Or Folk dance.

Important Rule: Bharathanatyam can only make up a maximum of 20% of your performance.

Music: You are free to choose your own music, but please ensure there are absolutely no vulgar lyrics.

Candidate Registation For BYH 2026 - Bharatham Fusion

The Core Requirement: Even though this is fusion, Bharathanatyam must be clearly identifiable.

We need to see the foundation the basic postures, Adavus, Mudras, and Abhinaya
very distinctly.

 

What is ‘Fusion’ here? We are looking for an artistic blend of Bharathanatyam with other dance styles, such as:


– Contemporary or Modern dance

– Hip-hop

– Jazz

– Folk dance

– Or other traditional Indian dance forms.

Important Rule: Please remember, at least 50% of your choreography must consist of Bharathanatyam movements.

Who can participate?

– This category is open to participants aged 14 and above.
– Music & Conduct: You are free to choose your own song, music, or beats.

– However, strict rules apply: No vulgar lyrics and no inappropriate or suggestive dance moves.

– The content must remain culturally respectful.

பரதம் fusion ன் போது பரதநாட்டியம் தெளிவாக அடையாளம் காணக்கூடியதாக இருக்க வேண்டும் (அடிப்படை தோரணைகள், அடவுகள், முத்திரைகள், அபிநயம்).

பரதம் fusion என்பது மற்ற நடனபாணிகளுடனான பரதநாட்டியத்தின் கலை ரீதியான இணைவை குறிக்கிறது, அதாவது:

– சமகால / நவீன நடனம்
– ஹிப்-ஹாப்
– ஜாஸ்
– நாட்டுப்புற நடனம்
– பிற பாரம்பரிய இந்திய நடன வடிவங்கள்.

முக்கியமான குறிப்பு: குறைந்து 50%பரதநாட்டிய நடன அசைவுகள் சேர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும்

யார் பங்கேற்கலாம்?

– 14 வயது தொடக்கம் கலந்து கொள்ளலாம்

– உங்கள் விருப்பத்திற்கேற்ற பாடல்/இசை/beats நீங்கள் தெரிவு செய்யலாம்.

– உங்கள் பாடல் தெரிவில் எந்த ஆபாச வார்த்தைகளும்/கவர்ச்சி நடனங்களும் அனுமதிக்கப்படாது.

– உள்ளடக்கம் கலாச்சார ரீதியாக மரியாதைக்குரியதாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.
